                          2012 Update - first quarter

                          CHILDREN UNDER SPONSORSHIP.

All children who are sponsored are paid for and back in school except for 4 who wrote their grade 9 final examinations and are awaiting results to go to a higher grade.

The 4 will go to different schools depending on their performance in terms of grades they obtain eg  Choma Secondary or Maamba where Agent was schooling . My prayer is that Winter, Felistus, Brian and Michael should pass with flying colours. I got very good reports from Winter and Brian’s school, the head teacher said Winter won a trophy for all southern province school sport competition and the trophy is displayed in the school hall. Brian was best actor of the year in the drama group. They just made us proud.

As for the little ones we had Willie Michelo who passed his exams from Mwapona community school and is going to Choma secondary school, which is an encouragement to the other kids.  All the kids are doing well.

                          ADULT SCHOOL

The school is still running and the teachers are happy with their work. Some of the pupils passed their grade 7 and are now doing grade 8 & 9 by Mwapona community school. The ministry of Education has given them permission to write their examinations from that school which also is a great achievement.

Mr. Kanene, the teacher, seems to be enjoying it a lot, he shared some of the goals and interests in adult education.

The most interesting news from the students is that they are able to speak , read and write good English. They are now able to help children do homework. The only challenge is that they lack reading books.

                          SUPPORT GROUP - MWAPONA COMMUNITY

The group is doing very well in the campaign and support of HIV/AIDS programs, so far the group has carried out performances on provincial level with the ministry of health and DATF. The DATF committee has drawn up a calendar involving PRIMACH to take part in this year program.

The good news is that PRIMACH had the best actors in drama and counsels in the teachings and administering of drugs. Most of our support group members are now practicing at the general hospital by the Anti-Retral Viral Therapy (ART) Clinic this is where ARVS are administered. Then back in the community they help out in with the home based care to people living with the disease and carry out lessons about safe sex and not having unwanted babies and fight stigma.

                          SUPPORT GROUP – KABANANA

In this group we have Christine Bbuumputa who is working at Shapande clinic at the art centre.   She is such an inspiration to many.  Ever since I have known her I have seen God’s hand of healing and now she is a blessing to many more. She never gives up on life with the little knowledge she has reached out and she is a testimony. May God always bless and keep her for the wonderful job she’s doing.

                          FROM PRISCA & FAMILY

Working with people who are less privileged in communities has been part of our entire married life and the children’s lives. We do not know any other way and we enjoy doing it. We have been riding on the belief that there is always something that a person can give or share with the one who does not have. Therefore, we have not given up our service in times of little and in times of plenty. If all we have that day is a loaf of bread or a glass of water or indeed a PRAYER, that we shall cheerfully share with the people.

PRIMACH has been in existence for slightly over a decade now and God has blessed us with friends that have seen what God is doing through us and have chosen to support this ministry. And we believe that with your continued support we can do even more. The children that are sponsored are doing very well in school and are very appreciative of the help that they have been receiving.

Its 2012 and we are still requesting for you continued help in making the lives of these kids! We have a lot of children on our waiting list that would like a chance to be enrolled into school. We believe God that there are many more people out there that will emulate your hearts of compassion!

May God richly bless and Happy 2012!
