Primach Support Groups
Community support and a good diet are crucial in the fight against HIV/AIDS. There are two support groups under Primach for those living with HIV/AIDS. We have one in each of our target areas, Kabanana and Mwapona compounds.

Adult Literacy Classes
Objectives:
- take care of each other in the face of little access to medical and food resources and amid rejection by others in the community,
- to be educated about the disease
- tackle stigma in their community by being open about their positive status
- encourage their neighbours to be aware of the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
Activities
Information Empowerment
- The groups hold regular classes to learn about medication and care for those living with the disease
- Promote prevention strategies
- Facilitates open community discussion of a topic which still carries stigma
Adult Literacy Classes
- The literacy classes attract people from all over the town to an environment where they can learn about HIV.
- Builds dignity and self worth
- Equips parents with the skills to help their children with homework
- Promotes the importance of being educated
- gardening and poultry projects
- Supplement their diets, which will result in better resilience to illness and greater capacity to cope with the strong medication.
- To generate income in order that each member may be able to meet the daily needs of their families
